In a story of just the two of us,

You are said to be the hero, and me the villain

But I never read any stories about a hero like you.

I’ve never read a story where the hero threatened the villain who wanted change,

And the villain to afraid to evolve because of it

I’ve never read a story where the hero handed someone broken wings,

And the villain be the one who spent hours fixing them, stitching each feather back in place as if nothing had happened to them

I’ve never read a story where the hero abused the people who he was supposed to help,

And the villain have a heart of gold

I’ve never read a story where the hero pushed the villain to the edge of a cliff,

And the villain not think twice before jumping to make the hero happy

I’ve never read a story where the hero didn’t care,

And the villain spent countless nights awake hoping to find a way to make the hero happy

I’ve never read a story were the hero lied,

And the villain was too afraid to speak up, so she kept quiet.

Doesn’t this sound a little backward to you?

Why is the hero acting more like a villain than the villain?

Maybe that is why in the story of just the two of us we are like this,

We are a mixed-up pair who was molded by you to be this way

You created me to be the villain and sadly I must be seen as one

You My Good Sir, may have painted me as the villain in the eyes of others,

But you are far from being a hero
